Here is your answer

Length of pendulum is 40 cm

Angle it makes is 60°

As length is same so angle opposite to the side is same which is
$2x = 180 - 60 \\ 2x = 120 \\ x = \frac{120}{2} \\ x = 60$
So it makes an equilateral Triangle as all angles are 60° so all sides are equal

Hence Length between the extreme ends of the pendulum is 40 cm
