Teachers Day is celebrated across the country on September 5 with great fervour in schools and educational institutions to commemorate the birth anniversary of philosopher and academician Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

All the schools are closed since March due to the lockdown to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
