1.Census method refers to the complete enumeration of a universe. A universe may be a place, a group of people or a specific locality through which we collect the data.
2.At national level census information is used to plan the provision of health care, education, employment, transport, etc.
3.in 1872 the first census was held in india
4.
the last census was held in 2011
and next will be in 2021

1) A census is the procedure of obtaining/ aquiring and recording information about a given population.

= It is mostly connected with housing census and population (nation) census.

= As far as I know ,there are 2 types of census
a. Defacto population census
b. Dejure population census (not sure)

2) These are taken in order to decide how many representatives should be elected from each state.

= It is taken every 10yrs.

3) In 1872

4) As far as I know it was recently taken on July 6 or 7 in 2010.

=Next census should be carried out in 2020 as it is taken after every 10 yrs.
