The emission spectrum of chemical element or chemical compound is the spectrum of frequencies of electromagnetic radiation emitted due to an atom or molecule making a transition from a high energy State to lower one... this is the meaning of spectra emission
Now what is spectrum of hydrogen see- the emission spectrum of atomic hydrogen is divided into a number of spectral series with wavelength given by the Rydberg formula. now these spectral lines are due to the electrons making transitions between them i.e. two energy levels in atom
i i hope this will help u! Tysm

The emission spectrum of atomic hydrogen is divided into a number of spectral series, with wavelengths given by the Rydberg formula. These observed spectral lines are due to the electron making transitions between two energy levels in an atom.
