one, if you're talking about an area where peacocks actually live, they will eat lizards, so avoiding them only makes sense. two, peacock feathers look like giant eyes, so any animal with good eyesight will feel like it's being watched all the time.

Frankly, though, I'm very dubious about this entire idea. I would suspect it's just not true. Unless proper scientific studies have been done on it, I wouldn't believe it.

For example, if a person had lizards coming into their house often, and then put up a bunch of peacock feathers, the lizards might stay away simply because the environment changed suddenly. Give them time, and they'd get used to it, and return.

Besides, why would you want to keep lizards out of your home? They eat tons of insects.

Peacock feather- Lizards view peacocks as predators, so placing peacock feathers near their usual hangout spots really does make them scurry away.
