❇ Frédéric Sorrieu was a French artist who prepared a print of The Dream of Worldwide Democratic and Social Republics. - the Pact Between Nations in 1848. In the given Print he visualised his dream of a world made up of democratic and Social Republic. He like other artists of the French Revolution of 1848 personified liberty as a female figure. In the picture she is shown as holding the torch of Enlightenment in one hand and the charter of the Rights of man in the other. In his Utopian vision, the people of world are shown as grouped as distinct nations.
