Hey mates!
I've a bunch of questions for you all :-)
I'm posting question in 2 sets.
Hope to get quality answers.
Set 1.
1. Define one hertz
2. Define wave length and write its unit.
3. How are the wavelength and frequency of a sound wave related to its speed?
4. What is sound and how it is produced?
5. Name two types of mechanical wave and define each.
6. Name the term associated with the travelling disturbance in a medium.
7. Do waves transport energy?
8. Do waves transport matter?

1 : one Hz means a body is completing one oscillation per second
2: wavelength is the length of one complete oscillation.
3:wavelength= velocity. frequency
4: sound is a form of energy which makes us hear... it's produced whenever a body vibrates
5: longitudinal waves and transverse waves
longitudinal waves travel back and forth in the direction in which the wave is moving..
transverse waves move perpendicular to the direction in which the wave is moving
6: vibration
7:yes
8:no
