Why the sky is Blue

The sky is blue because molecules present in air scatterers the blue light most from the sun than that red light.

Due to this scattering of blue light by air Molecules.... a blue colour enters into our eyes and we saw the sky ; blue in Colour.

But during sunset we saw the sky is reddish colour because at that time blue light has been scattered out and red - orange colour reaches to our eyes.

Hence, during we saw the sky in reddish colour.

The sun's light that reaches the earth is of white colour which is a combination of seven colours-
Violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red.

Violet colour has the smallest wavelength while the red one has the longest.

So when light passes through the earth's atmosphere, the lights of smaller wavelength scatter (violet, indigo, blue) but the lights of longer wavelength (yellow, outrage, red) passes without scattering.

Therefore, due to the scattering of these light, the sky appear blue (and a little violet and indigo because our eyes are more sensitive to blue colour than violet out indigo)
