All cells of our body produce waste products. These waste products are toxic to the body and therefore need to be excreted out. This process of removing waste products produced in the cells of living organisms is called excretion

Question :

Why is it necessary to excrete substances ?

Answer :-

Excretion is the process of removal of harmful metabolic wastes and mostly nitrogenous wastes from the body of the organism.

If these nitrogenous wastes chiefly urea is left to accumulate in the blood after a certain level , then the person would die because urea is highly poisonous.

These wastes are hence removed from our body by the process of excretion.

Otherwise it would lead to serious consequences even leading to the death of the person.

The kidney is the chief organ of excretion of urea and other excess salts and water.

Hope it helps you :-)
