A single or one party dominant system is a system where there is a category of parties that have successfully won the elections with majority and whose future defeat cannot be envisaged or is unlikely for the foreseeable future.

According to recent electoral surveys, it is clear that India is moving towards single or one party dominance and nobody can deny this after the BJP's landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh, the biggest Indian state. All the credit goes to PM. Modi as the idea of demonitization moved just before the elections which seems to have worked for the common people backing him.

So with this trend, one can easily predict that India is moving towards a one or single party dominance at a speed so faster that anyone can foretell.

So therefore, a good opposition is also necessary with some members which can keep the current government aware of its mistakes.

hope \: it \: helps \: you.

The single-party dominance is a system of majority rule where one political party has successively won election victories by a very large majority and is therefore the dominant ruling party, which does not have to form coalitions (alliances) with other smaller political parties as a result.

Yes,the single party dominance is now also in several countries such as:-

  1. China-communist party.
  2. North Korea-Workers' party of Korea
