Hey mate!

Here is yr answer......

LUNI :
~~~~~
<> Luni is a river in rajasthan..
<> This is an internal drinage river..
<> This fills into the lakes and donot reach the sea.....
<> It starts from the pushkar valley of aravali ranges... and ends at rann of kutch
<> This river is also called as lavanaravi means salt water....due to high saltinity of its water..
<> It is not very salty, until it reaches balotra... when it reaches balotra the water becomes salty due to the impact of soil on water.
<> The length of the river luni is 495 kms....
<> Some of its tributaries are sukri, bandi, khari mithri and Jojari.. etc..
<> As I said that the river luni begins in the pushkar valley at ajmer.. In this region the river is also called as sagarmati..
<> Then the river flows towards south-west and enters into the thar desert
<> We know that, most of the rajasthan is desert area and dry area! In this region rainfall is very low!!
<> The river luni is feeding rajasthan by storing the water...
<> And it is showing employment for many small farmers...by giving the facility of irrigation..
<> This is the only river in desert region... which is used to irrigation..
<> Without, this river the irrigation for fields is imppossibe.
<> It flows in both rajasthan and gujarat... and even, its water is salty, people use this water for drinking, Daily uses and irrigation also..
<> By this river, somany developments had been taken place like.. power generation ....
Hope it helps....
HEYA!!
----------
➡Luni River is a major and important river located to the west of the Indian state of Rajasthan.
➡It originates from the Pushkar Valley from Aravalli Ranges near Ajmer and then continues to follow the path until it reaches Rann of Kutch in Gujarat .
➡It has many tributaries . But the three major ones I know are : Jowai, Sukri and Jojari which merge along with it as it reaches Gujarat.
➡It is also known as Lavanavari. In Sanskrit , it translates to " Salt water " . This name owes to the high amount of salt in the water of Luni.
➡It is an important resource for Rajasthan . This river has significantly helped in the development of the state . Rajasthan being a water deficient area is greatly dependent on to for water needs.
➡Many developments have been made in Rajasthan and this river also plays a major role as a source of irrigation as well as power generation .
