ANSWER

GIVEN: R = 1 M , TOTAL HEIGHT = 6 METRE

TO FIND : VOLUME OF MILK TANK AND TSA OF TANK

PROOF : HEIGHT OF THE CYLINDER = 6 - 1 = 5 METRE ( BECAUSE THE

RADIUS OF THE HEMISPHERE IS THE HEIGHT OF HEMISPHERE )

TOTAL VOLUME = VOL. OF HEMI.  + VOL. OF CYLINDER

                               =  2 / 3 * π *R³ +  π*R²H

                                = 2/ 3 * 22 / 7 * 1³ + 22 / 7 * 1² * 5

                               = 178.09 M³

TSA = 2πRH + πR² + 2πR²

      =   2 * 22 / 7 * 1 * 5 + 22 /7 * 1² +  2 * 22 / 7 * 1²

       =  40.85 M²
