Sexual division of labour means that work is divided between males and females according to their gender. While assigning or dividing the work, the capability of a person is not considered and only the gender is taken into consideration.

Generally, all the household unpaid work is assigned to the females and males are supposed to go out for work and earn money for the family. It is not that men cannot do housework, but they think that it is for women to attend to these things.
