Given that 2x + 2/x = 3
=> 2(x+1/x) = 3
=> x+1/x = 3/2......(1)
We know that...(a+b)³ = a³+3a²b+3ab²+b³
=> (x+1/x)³ = x³+3x²×(1/x)+3x(1/x)²+(1/x)³
=> (3/2)³ = x³+3x+3/x+1/x³
=> 27/8 = x³+3(x+1/x)+1/x³ [x+1/x = 3/2]
=> 27/8 = x³+3×3/2+1/x³
=> 27/8–3/2 = x³+1/x³
=> 15/8 = x³+1/x³
=> x³+1/x³ = 15/8
On adding 3 both the side.....
=> x³+1/x³+3 = 15/8+3
=> x³+1/x³+3 = 39/8
