Difference between Parasites and Saprotroph:-

Parasites:- The organisms which depend on the host for their food and shelter are known as parasites. The parasites derive their nutritions from the host body for fulfilling its needs. The body on which a parasite lives is known as a host. Some examples of parasites are:-

  • Tick

Saprotrophs:- The organisms which depend on dead and the decaying matter in the surrounding to derive nutritions and fulfilling their needs are known as saprotrophs. They take in its food in solution form. Some examples of saprotrophs are:-

  • Bacteria
  • Fungi
