Final Answer : 2 + 2√2

By using eq. of log.

 log(x - 2) + log(y) = 0 \\ = > (x - 2)y = 1 \\

By squaring and solving second equation we get,
(y-2)x = 1
Then, substitute value of
Now,
substitute value of y= 1/(x-2) ,
we get quadratic
x^2-2x-1=0
Solve this

these equations
x = 1-√2 and y = 1-√2
And x = 1 + √2 and y = 1 + √2

We reject first solution since,
x > 2
So, finally
x + y = 2 + 2√2

siddhartharao77: *you are
NOBITA01: sure,
NOBITA01: Can u tell , which part you don't understand
siddhartharao77: We both got same answer that is y = 1/x - 2 and x = 1/y-2. After this What u did, did u substituted the values of x and y in equation (2)?
NOBITA01: yes then, solve quadratic
siddhartharao77: Thanks for helping.
