1.neutralisation reaction : the reaction between an acid and a base to give salt and water is know as neutralisation reaction .
general formula :- acid+base --- salt+water

2. HCl dissociates in water because strong acid and base can dissociates completely when it is placed in the solution of water. HCL is strong acid with the ph value between 0 to 2. pure water has ph value of 7. when placing HCl in the sol of water, it will shift the ph by increasing the number of hydrogen (h+ions) solution.

¤ 1. Neutralization :

=>A neutralization reaction can be defined as a chemical reaction in which an acid and base quantitatively react together to form a salt and water as products.

=>In a neutralization reaction, there is a combination between H+ ions and OH– ions which forms water.

=>A neutralisation reaction is generally an acid base neutralization reaction.

Example :
-Formation of Sodium Chloride (Common Salt):
HCl + NaOH → NaCl + H2O
-Titration methods using phenolphthalein.

2. HCL dissolves in water

=>When hydrogen chloride is dissolved in water HCl is formed.

=>Hydrochloric acid is an inorganic chemical.

=>The hydrogen ions (protons) react with water to form hydronium ions (H3O) and the chloride ions are free in solution.

=>HCL + H2O = H3O + CL

3. NaOH dissolves in water

=>NaOH(s) + H2O(l) => Na+ + OH- + H20 +

=>There is no "chemical reaction" but there ia a reaction in that the disassociation of the sodium and hydroxide ions and the hydration of those ions releases a LOT of heat, this process is called as exothermic reaction.
