the Himalayas act as a climatic divide in playing a major role in climate change of Indian Subcontinent. it prevents the bitter cold winds from Siberia Central Asia from invading India by obstructing them. it also of obstructs the southwest monsoons and therefore causes Re and at the north eastern areas.
