By multiplying (¡) with 2 and (¡¡) with 3 we get,
6x+8y=20 and
6x-6y=6
By subtracting (¡v) from (v) we get,
6x+8y=20
-6x+6y=-6
---------------
14y=14=>y=1
By substituting y=1 in (¡) we get,
x=2.
