Answer:

R = 2 ohms

Since R1 and R2 are parallel

1 = 1 + 1

Rp1 R1 R2

1 = 1 + 1

Rp1 2 2

1 = 2

Rp1 2

1 = 1

Rp1

Rp1 = 1 ohms

R3 and R5 are in series. So,

Rs1 = R3 + R5

= 2 + 2

Rs1 = 4 ohms

Similarly, R4 and R6 are in series. So,

Rs2 = 4 ohms

Rs1 and Rs2 are in parallel, so Rp2 will be 1 ohms.

Similarly, R7 and R8 are in parallel, so Rp3 will be 1 ohms.

Similarly, R9, R11, are in series. So,

Rs3 = 4 ohms

Similarly, R10, R12 are in series. So,

Rs4 = 4ohms

Rs3 and Rs4 are parallel. So Rp4 will be 1 ohms.

Now Rp1, Rp2, Rp3, Rp4 are in Series. So,

Rnet = Rp1 + Rp2 + Rp3 + Rp4

= 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

Rnet = 4 ohms
