Law Of Refraction Of Light :-

As a ray of line passes through one medium to another medium, we can see a partial deviation from its original path. This property of light is referred to as refraction.

Given that absolute refractive index of a medium is 1.5

n = 1.5

So, we have

n =  \frac{c}{v}

c is speed of light in vaccum.

v is speed of light in medium.

So,

1.5 =  \frac{3 \times 10 ^{8} }{v}

v = 2 \times  {10}^{8}

laws of refraction:1.the incident ray,the refracted ray and the normal at the point of incidence all lie in same plane.

2.the sine of angle of incidenceto the sine of angle of refraction is constant for a given colour of light and pair of media.

n=c÷v

1.5=3×108÷v

v=1.5÷3×108

v=2×108
