Adjournment Motion :-

  • Motions are of great importance in the parliament for a discussion of any urgent public importance.

  • Adjourned motion is defined as an extraordinary device introduced in the Parliament to draw the attention of the house to a specific or recent matter which is of urgent public importance.

  • However for this motion, 50 members of the house must admit, otherwise it's denied.

  • The normal business of the house is adjourned if this motion is passed in the parliament.

  • Many topics of public importance can be sent for adjournment using this motion.

  • It can't be moved if the permission of the speaker isn't granted.

  • Adjourned motion are only introduced in the Lok Sabha. It can't be introduced in the Rajya Sabha.
