Let's see how it produces testosterone :-

  • LH (luteinising hormone) from anterior pituitary gland stimulates the leydig cells also known as interstitial cells.

  • Leydig cells or interstitial cells produces testosterone in the seminiferous tubules of the testes.

Testes are located outside the abdominal cavity inside the scrotum or scrotal sac.

As sperm production requires 2-2.5° lesser temperature.
