Pls help me cuz I have my maths exam tomorrow so pls help me
Mohan Lal left one-third of his property to his daughter, one-fourth to his son and the remainder to his wife. If the wife’s share was worth Rs.40,000 how much money did Mohan Lal have?

daughter's share= x/3.

son's share = x/4

wife's share in money = Rs. 40,000

x -(x/3 + x/4)= 40,000

x- ( 4x + 3x)/12 = 40,000

x- 7x/12 =40000

5x/12 =40000

cancel 40,000 by 5 then we get 8000

now,

x= 12×8000

= 96000

hence,

Mohan lal have 96000 rupees.
