A tricycle is sold at a gain of 15%. If it had been sold for 27 more , the profit would have been 20%. Find its cost price .

I need the answer with explanation.

acc. to question,
15% of x + x + 27 = 20% of x + x
20%.of x - 15% of x + x -x = 27
x(20% - 15%)=27
(5/100) × x = 27
(1/20) x = 27
x = 540
so the original cost was 540 rupees
