Anonymous: 0.046 N?
meenakshi997sa: no... 0.034 N
meenakshi997sa: mujhe ye samajh nhi aa raha ki minus kyu hua ?
Anonymous: Ruk dekhra hun
meenakshi997sa: :).....
meenakshi997sa: aaaaa gaya re samjh me....!!!!.... are law of equivalence use hua he re!!!
Anonymous: Actually,acid reacts with base over here,as a result neutralisation takes place,so net decrease in the normality.So,subtraction will be done.
meenakshi997sa: han ye bhi sahi he.........!

Bonjour!

According to the question;

200 ml of N/10 H2SO4 is mixed into 300 ml N/100 NaOH.

Formula to solve this question:-

NV = N1V1 - N2V2

N1 = 1/10

V1 = 200

N2 = 1/100

V2 = 300

V = 500

N = ?

 =  >  N \times 500 =  \frac{1}{10}  \times 200 -  \frac{1}{100}  \times 300 \\  \\  =  > N \times 500 = 17 \\  \\  =  > N =  \frac{17}{500}  \\  \\  =  > N = 0.034

So, the Normality of the resulting solution is 0.034 N

Hope this helps...:)

meenakshi997sa: but the actual formula is. " N= {N1V1+N2V2} /V1+V2. " ....
Anonymous: It is a neutralization reaction
