Hey there Brainliacs, here is an interesting puzzle to solve .

I have a 19 cm × 24.5 cm sheet of paper , in which I intend to construct a square root spiral .

You guys have to calculate the exact measurements for the scale such that the spiral just fits into the page .

It should be neither too small in size , nor too large .

If you need to draw a spiral till √17, then you must follow :-

  • If you start making the spiral from the center of the sheet.
  • The maximum length horizontally would be almost 7 cm + 17 cm = 24 cm.
  • The maximum length vertically would be almost 11.5 cm + 5 cm = 16.5 cm.
  • If you need the exact measure to fit the spiral completely, then the dimensions would be 17 cm × 24.5 cm.
  • But if its a project work, let it be 19 cm × 25 cm.

Square root spiral :- A square root spiral is a spiral formed by many right angled triangles, where, the hypotenuse of each triangle is the square root of a number. The first triangle is always an isosceles-right triangle, with its hypotenuse equal to √2.
