Hey there! Having a doubt here.
Please anyone of u let me know the answer..................
In a food chain, there are 4 trophies levels
Producers—primary consumers— secondary consumer — tertiary consumer
OR
producer—herbivore—carnivore—top carnivore
My question is if there is a food chain of 5 members
i.e. plant—grasshopper—frog—snake—peacock
Then in which tropic level peacock should be put?
If the answer is top carnivore then the snake is also present in the same category so Then why peacock can eat a snake but snake can’t eat a peacock?
Please lemme know

The peacock or peahen will not let snakes to live in their territory . peacock depends on snakes tough allthough they depends upon them they are not like snakes.
peacock can it snakes but snakes cant eat peacock because just before the snakes rise up to strike and kill the peacock, they are quickly gobbled down by the bird. In this way, the peacock avoids venomous bites and instead ingests the snakes, poison and all.

peacock should be placed in apex because in this chain it is mostly possible that snake can be eaten by the peacock .

snake will come at fourth level and peacock at fifth
