Hey Mate here's the answer...
A Sigma Bond is formed by co-axial overlapping of atomic orbitals.
Hence the sigma bond in which overlapping of orbitals takes place along the same Axis same Axis is stronger than pi bond in which overlapping of orbitals takes place at an angle.
Hope it will help you......

• Basically, this covalent bond which is actually formed by collinear, that is the they lie in the internuclear axis which involves overlapping of the atomic orbital is referred to as Sigma bond.✔✔
• Hence, the S orbits are non- directional and thus have the ability to overlap on any of the side.✔✔
• Therefore , s-s together overlap to form sigma bond.✔✔
• In order to form sigma bond the p orbit must be in the internuclear axis.✔✔
• For eg- s-s overlap, s-p overlap.✔✔
