Q1.In a city the corporation supplies water to 35 houses in a street through a cylindrical tank

of diameter 42cm and length 105cm.On a particular day due to the leakage in the tank water was

sufficient only to 25houses.The people in the street told the water man to distribute the available

water to all the 35 houses.

CONTEXTUAL QUESTION (3 MARKS)

(i) How much water each house gets on any day?

(ii) How much water each house gets on the day of leakage??

amount of water in tank is 145530 cm3

amount of water for each house a day = 4158 cm3

so on the day of lekage amount of water each house will get is = 25 *4158/35

= 2970cm3
