we know that identity (a + b) (a - b) = a² - b²

we can notice that (8x - 1/3) (8x + 1/3) is in the form of (a + b) (a - b)

⇒ (8x - 1/3) (8x + 1/3) can be written as (8x)² - (1/3)² according to the identity above mentioned.

⇒ (8x - 1/3) (8x + 1/3) = (8x)² - (1/3)² = (64x² - 1/9) = RHS

given that LHS = (64x² - b) and also it is clear that RHS = LHS

⇒ (64x² - b) = (64x² - 1/9)

from the above equation we can notice that b is equal = 1/9

so the value of b is 1/9
