(i) 9/40

(ii) 23/100

(iii) 6/25

step-by-step explanation:

Given,

we have to find three rational numbers betn 1/5 and 1/4

♣ What is a rational number?

✍️ Any number in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q≠0 .

Now,

to find three rational no. betn 1/5 and 1/4,

we must convert these no. having same denominators

for this,

we take L.C.M of the denominators,

i.e., L.C.M of 4 and 5

which equals to 4×5 i.e., 20

now, converting into same denominators

1/5 = 1×4/5×4 = 4/20

1/4 = 1×5/4×5 = 5/20

now, the denominators are same,

so we can simply find three no. between 4 and 5

so, 3 no. betn 4 and 5 are,

4.5

4.6

4.8

now,

dividing all the no. by 20 so that denominators will be same,

we get,

4.5/20 = 45/200 = 9/40

4.6/20 = 46/200 = 23/100

4.8/20 = 48/200 = 6/25

Hence,

three rational number between 1/5 and 1/4 are

9/40

23/100

6/25

Step-by-step explanation:

Step - 1

Make the denominator same.

⇒ (1/5) * (4/4) = 4/20

⇒ (1/4) * (5/5) = 5/20.

Step - 2:

Since we need three rational numbers, multiply and divide by 4.

⇒ (4/20) * (4/4) = 16/80

⇒ (5/20) * (4/4) = 20/80

Three rational numbers are 17/80,  18/80, 19/80

Hope it helps!
