HERE IS YOUR ANSWER. . . . .
Ghandi was making the point that there is enough food and water, shelter, etc. (basic needs) for the needs of every person. There is not, however, enough natural resources to fill the want of people's greed. In order for everyone to have enough, no one can be greedy with their resources or wealth of any kind. If resources are shared equitably, no one would go hungry or thirsty, or be without clothing, shelter or medical care. But Only if people are not greedy.
➡The above statement was given by Mahatma Gandhi.
➡This statement implies that the quantity of resources on our earth is limited and won't last long.
➡But, because of the greedy nature of humans who are yearning for rapid development, they are continuously overusing these resources.
➡The more they have, greater will be their satisfaction.
➡The unequal distribution of these resources has lead to the division of the society into the rich and poor.
➡The mere availability of these resources make people feel more superior than those who don't have it.
➡This in turn has drastically affected the environment in negative ways. There has been an increase in deforestation etc.
