It is said that god created mothers he could not be present everywhere. It is unbelievable to realize that a god's representative is continuously killing someone beautiful even before she came out and see the beauty of nature. Let us considered some facts:-
In India, she is the goddess to be revered, in the form of Laxmi (Goddess of wealth), Saraswati (Goddess of knowledge) and Sita (ideal consort of Lord Sri Ram) and even in the form of Durga (Killer of evil) but what does happen in real life ? The picture in real life is quite different.
India is growing dynamically in every field. Today, the boom in economy, innovative technologies and improved infrastructure has become nations pride. The country has witnessed advancement in all field but has the country given equal opportunities to the boys or girls ?
India has examples of women who have risen from ashes like phoenix and done the country proud. There are numerous examples to mention. The country had an able prime minister in Indira Gandhi and Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, the first female prime minister of India. India's first women IPS officer Kiran Bedi, who had brought great laurels to her professions in the country, Kalpana Chawla, the first astronaut from India. The list is endless then why the girl child is denied the basic human of taking birth through female infanticide and female foeticide?
Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India has said - "You can tell the condition of a nation by looking the status of its women".
As regards status of girl child - "It is believed that every year 12 million girls are born in the country but unfortunately only 1/3 of those survive. Some are killed in the womb, some at the time of birth, some die due to ill health and some due to poor nutritional status. Only few number of girls are able to survive till their 15th birthday.
So, please i am request you give respect and save the girl child to save future of the country.
