Explanation:

Three Days of Hell

An excursion is a short journey or trip, especially one taken as a leisure activity. It is a journey in which we get a lot of new experiences. A journey with friends either for relaxing and enjoying or to discover new things and study about them. This short journey stays in our mind forever.

Last month I and my friends went to Uttarakhand. It was an enjoyable but tiring journey. My mother was quite angry with the place where we went as it was a long journey. We decided so much to do like trekking but our fate did not want such.

As we first arrived, the weather was good, warm, sunny and windy. We stayed in a hotel for the night. Suddenly the weather turned bad and there was raining outside. Heavy downpour and cloud bursts. We can hear the announcement by the government authorities to move to the higher level on the hills. Immediately we ran for safety to a school uphill. The scene from up the hill was so scary. Unprecedented catastrophe, continuous downpour, flash floods and landslides was taking on a large scale. The water flowed with such fury that it devoured everything that came its way- hotels, dharamsalas, houses disappeared under debris deposited by river.

We were confined there for three days, without food, fresh water and dry clothes to wear in the chilling cold. My experience was horrible and no one should face it because I know the feeling at that time. I almost became a stone with a flesh. It was so sudden incident that we did not even have the time to think. Luckily no one got hurt and all of us were safe but some of my friends got small injuries.

Finally we were rescued by army helicopters. Thanks to God for saving us from this nightmarish ordeal. But this is an excursion which I would cherish for my life.

hope it helps you

Answer:

WORLD'S LARGEST WATERFALL!

Explanation:

Rivers flowing into Earth’s gorges create waterfalls that are natural wonders, drawing millions of visitors. But Earth’s largest and most powerful waterfall doesn’t attract many tourists. That’s because it lies beneath the ocean, under the Denmark Strait, which separates Iceland and Greenland.

The waterfall – known as the Denmark Strait cataract – under the Denmark Strait near the southern tip of Greenland – begins 2,000 feet (600 meters) under the ocean surface and plunges to a depth of 10,000 feet (3,000 meters), nearly a 2-mile (3.2 km) drop.

The Denmark Strait cataract is more than 3 times the height of Angel Falls in Venezuela, which is considered Earth’s tallest waterfall (on land). And the Denmark Strait cataract carries an estimated 123 million cubic feet (3.5 million cubic meters) of water per second. That’s equivalent to almost 2,000 Niagara Falls at peak flow.

Angel Falls in Venezuela, the tallest waterfall on land, is 3 times shorter than the Denmark Strait cataract, and Niagara Falls carries 2,000 times less water, even during peak flows. Image via beautifulworld.com.
