Heya...

See here for your answer.....

==============

Yes, India is fortunate to have fairly rich and varied minerals and resources , However these are unevenly distributed...

√ Firstly have a look of distribution of resources and minerals...

- Karnataka..

It is the gold rich state in India, during the era of Maurya dynasty it have many gold mines, in India almost 88% gold demand is filled by this single state..

-- Chattisgarh...

It is the aluminium and cement rich state of India, here the 20% of cement is produced of total demand in India and the super usable aluminium is founded...

-- Bihar ..

When we talk about minerals rich areas of our country then Bihar came on first rank, yes it is the state that is rich in iron , Cooper and son many minerals...

√ Now returning to your ques, I am going to explain that how this distribution is Unequal...

-- In India where some states have fortunate minerals but some has lack of resources..

-- Like Uttar Pradesh , Punjab , Tamil Nadu , Kerela are the States have no main minerals as source..

-- These States have to be dependent on the exports made by other states or countries and have to spend the large amount of wealth on that...

So,, it is very negative point of resources distribution that some areas are rich and some have nothing in a same country and it creates burden on resources rich States to mining more for other state...

Hope it helps..

Thank you..

Here is your answer

India is fortunate to have fairly rich and varied mineral resources and are unevenly distributed in various regions of India.

Peninsular rocks contain most of the reserves of coal, metallic minerals, mica and many other non-metallic minerals.

Sedimentary rocks on the western and eastern flanks of the peninsula, in Gujarat and Assam have most of the petroleum deposits.

Rajasthan with the rock systems of the Peninsula, has reserves of many non-ferrous minerals.

The vast alluvial plains of North India are almost devoid of economic minerals.
