some time it happens that the light enters to the eye and so to prevent it the eye ball become smaller and in another case the light is not passed so the eye ball increses

Explanation:

Don't know the perfect answer, but I think that when we use glasses the colour differentiation is visible clearly.

But, after we removing glasses all the colours gets mixed(or appear to be mixing, as lens got changed. Thus, it may appear that our eyes are becoming smaller in size.

This can also be illusion created by our brain as we see other illusions.
