Traditional Media:-

(Introduction)

We are talking about the media used traditionally in 1990s. Let's go extremely back in time. It's a morning of 1990s with a newspaper magically landed up from somewhere at your front yard. You pick that up and read it with little sips of tea or coffee. Later, when it's quite sunny out, you decide to watch television. You open up a black 'n' white television. You watch few programs broadcasted on an only channel named "Doordarshan". You listen to news, watch epic serials which were pretty much entertaining. Now, you decide to have lunch. You have lunch and sit near your window with a magzine. You are flipping page by page and enjoying it. You keep it aside, you study till evening. At evening, you decide to go for walk, you take looks at advertisements, pamphlets, billboards and many more. While returning back, you decide to bring DVD of a movie to watch leisurely at home. At the end you talk to your friend using your landline. And when you go to bed, you put on your radio listening to some songs and news, and eventually you fall asleep. This was a brief of what were traditional media.

Traditional media was all including newspapers, Telivision, magazines,b telephone, paper adversiments, pamphlets, magazines, DVDs and many more. On these, Newspapers were the most important form of media, people used to read newspapers on daily basis, which is even done today. Books and magazines were another form of print media. Magazines were largely used in 1990s to advertise cosmetic products, jewelries and advertisements promoting other forms of businesses. Printed advertisements were made using pamphlets. Traditionally, electronic gadgets such as televisions were also used as media. News, ads and serials were shown and broadcasted using this media. For that time it was the best source of mass media. Radios were used to listen audio news. Radio was found everywhere on every shop for entertainment.

Traditional media are even today used but with a better modification when it comes to electronic media. Even at today's date we use television and radio as a good source of media.

Answer:

Traditional media allows businesses to target a broad target audience through billboards, print advertising, television commercials, and more. In comparison, new media allows companies to target a narrow target audience through social media, paid online ads, and search results

Traditional media is still the most credible news source, it's essential for conveying brand messaging as it is instantly recognisable. Newspapers, magazines, Radio and Television will always be recognisable to anyone at any age, as it has been established for decades and newspapers even date back centuries.
