Mixtures are something in which two or more substances are mixed.
Solutions are mixtures in which one is liquid that is water and one or two solvents are added.
Therefore we can say that all solutions are mixtures but not all mixtures are solutions becuase solution contains water where as mixtures are also of solid substance such as soil.

A solution is a specific term that describes an even or homogeneous mixture of a solute, the substance being mixed, in a solvent, the substance that is in a greater amount in which the solute dissolves. All solutions are mixtures because it is two or more substances mixed together. A mixture such as oil and water is not homogeneously dissolved and therefore not a solution.
