Haro was a great Astronomer. He was born on 21 March 1913 in Mexico City, Mexico.

He studied law and philosophy at the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico)

After a interview with Luis Enrique Erro in 1937 he became interested in Astronomy.

As result of his dedication and diligence for astronomy, Luis Enrique Erro offered him a job of assistant at the newly founded Observatorio Astrofísico de Tonantzintla in 1943.

To improve Haro's astronomical knowledge Luis Enrique Erro further arranged astronomical training for Haro in UK at  the Harvard College Observatory, Case Observatory in 1944, Yerkes Observatory  and McDonald Observatory in 1945 to 1947.

★ He was the youngest person who became a member of the Colegio Nacional.

★ He was the first person wo elected to the Royal Astronomical Society from Mexico (in 1959)

★ He was the founder of Mexican Academy of Sciences and the National Institute of Astrophysics.

★ Haro has huge contribution to improve astronomical study in Mexico

★ Haro discovered Herbig–Haro object. ( small patches associated with new born stars )

Haro died on 27 April 1988 in Mexico City :cry:
