1ANS)Mextals are good conductor of heat because they have free electrons in the outer shell of the atoms which are not tightly bound to their atoms and are free to transport heat energy. In simple words, non metals do not have free electron to conduct electricity.But if we talk about the energy band theory, conduction band and valence band,Non metals have completely filled valence band and there is no electron in the conduction band, thats why they are bad conductos.Also the energy gap between velance band and conduction band is much higher about 5Mev to transfer electron from valence to conduction band, which is a large amout of energy.Thats why they are bad conductors.

Milk is not a pure substance as it doesnt have a  fixed composition of carbohydrates, fats, protiens  etc. And metals are good conductor of heat as they can trasfer heat whereas non metals cannot.
