Terrorism is the most crucial topic when it comes to the basic national policies of a country. Terrorists are the group of people engaged and encouraging this act of terrorism.

Terrorism in simple words is the use of violence to generate fear in a country. Again, there can be other ulterior motives behind terrorism like intervening and disturbing the financial or political stability in a country.

The motives can differ from one terrorist militant organisation to other.

One globally well known example will be that of Lashkar-e-Taiba. This group by far has been the most active Islamic militant organisation. The motive behind this group is the integration of Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan.

The other group worth mentioning is
Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. This group has links with Osama bin Laden and has been officially declared a terrorist group by the United Nations.

The United Nations General Assembly adopted a consensus in 2006 to counter terrorism. The main strategy is to enhance both national and international efforts in this regard. The General Assembly reviews the Strategy every two years.

There is a plan of action carried out by UN General assembly which stands on 4 pillars.

1.
Working on the conditions regarding the spread of terrorism.
2. M
easures to prevent and combat terrorism
3.
Addressing the states capacity to prevent and combat terrorism and to strengthen the role of the United Nations system.
4. Sensitiveness against Human Rights and m
easures to ensure respect for these rights.

Hence terrorism sure is a threat to the world peace. And measures are taken to counter it.

Terrorism is the utilization of viciousness with the point of promoting political or ideological objections to the detriment of the all-inclusive community. Psychological oppression can take many structures and has many causes, regularly more than one. It can have its foundations in religious, social, or political clashes, frequently when one group is abused by another.

Causes and Motivations:

Political. Individuals choose terrorism when they are attempting to make things right what they see to be a social or political or verifiable going wrong. The outrage they have about the political circumstance of a nation they endeavor to fathom them through terrorist activities.

Religious. The quantity of assaults completed for the sake of religion stood out as truly newsworthy. People show hatred towards different religions through acts of terrorism.

Socioeconomic. Different types of hardship can drive individuals to terrorism, specifically, poverty, lack of education, or absence of political opportunity.

Instead of look for the reasons for terrorism itself, a superior approach is to decide the conditions that make fear conceivable or likely. Now and then these conditions need to do with the general population who progress toward becoming terrorists; they are depicted as having certain mental characteristics, as narcissistic rage.

Also, a few conditions need to do with the conditions they live in, for example, political or social suppression, or monetary strife.
