=>According to me

Election are boon.

=>The main reason behind the boon is ,our country is democratic country.

=>Every one has fundamental right .that why they can choose their representatives.

=> it is very necessary to election in democratic country.

=>Our country is highly populated country so .Election is must necessary to do job for citizens.

Hence it is boon

but We need to understand everything has boon or curse.

Actually, it can't be one, I mean that elections are one way boon and one way curse!

Elections held in India is democratic, so some people take advantage of it, as we can see that our democracy is CORRUPT.

Also, Elections are a boon as people are free to choose their own representatives!

$\textsf{Now, lets see some merits of democratic elections}$:-

(1) democratic government is a better government because it is a more accountable form of government.

(2) democracy improves the quality of decision making.

(3) democracy provides a method to deal with differences and conflicts.

(4) Democracy enhances the dignity of citizens.

(5) it allows us to correct its own mistakes, so, it is a better form of government.

$\textsf{But , here are some demerits also}$ :-

(1) leaders keep changing in a democracy, this leads to instability.

(2) democracy is all about political competition power play , there is no scope for morality.

(3) so many people have to be consulted in a democracy that it leads to delays.

(4) elected leaders do not know the best interest of the people. it leads to bad decisions.

(5) democracy leads to corruption for it is based on a electoral competition.
