Let the cost of one chair be =x

So the cost of one table will be =x+200

The cost of 3 chairs and 2tables is ₹1400

So, 3x+2(x+200)=1400

3x+2x+400=1400

5x+400=1400

5x= 1400-400

x= 1000/5 = 200

∴ cost of chair is ₹200 and cost of the table is ₹200+₹200= ₹400

Let the age of Sunil be x

Anu's age = x+4

8years ago, Anu was 3 times Sunil's age

According To the Question

(x+4)-8=3(x-8)

x-4=3x-24

x-3x= -24+4

-2x= -20

x = -20/-2

x= 10

Hence,

Age of Sunil = x=10years

Age of Anu= x+4= (10-4)years

= 14years
