Heya!
--------

➖1. Equivalent Resistance -
==========================

◾The two Four Ohm Resistors are connected in PARALLEL

◾In Parallel Combination , Effective Resistance is Given By - >

 =  >  \frac{1}{rp}  =  \frac{1}{r1}  +  \frac{1}{r2}

◾Hence Effective Resistance for Parallel Combination =>

 =  >  \frac{1}{rp}  =  \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{4}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{rp}  =  \frac{2}{4}  \\  \\  =  > resistance \:  =  \frac{4}{2}  = 2 \: ohm................ |1|

◾The 1 Ohm Resistor is Connected in Series With the two 4 Ohm Resistors.

=> In Series Combination, Effective Resistance is Given By :

↪Rs = R1 + R2 + R3..........

Hence , the total Effective Resistance in the Entire Combination is :

✔ 2 + 1 = 3 Ohm

➖Total Current in the Circuit
==========================

↪Using Ohm's Law

◾Potential Difference ( V ) = Current ( I ) × Resistance ( R )

=> Here ,

▪Potential Difference = 12 V

▪Resistance = 3 Ohm

▪Current = ?

=> We have ,

=> 12 = 3 × I

=> I = 12/3

✔Current = 4 Ampere .
