Consider the following sentences -
1)"Opportunity knocks only once. "
2)I have seen one video of Sandeep Maheshwari. He said " life is like cricket game. Your game is not finished with missing just one shot. There are many balls left. " Indirectly he meant that there are many opportunities.

hey....: ) : )
i would go with the lines of sandeep maheshwari in our lyf we get many opportunities but its coz of our ignorance that we miss it everytime we human beings always lack behind thinking of those tym we wasted in past the opportunities we missed that tym n we dont even see by stucking to that point of view in our present we r again missing a lot of opportunities our past is in our mind wat we have is the present so its the time n our future is in our hand destined ..by making the use of those opportunities we can surely reach a point of great height of fame n it would be the turning point of our lyf wen our signature would turn to be the autographs to sign ..our life is not born its we who r born to create it and make a difference by making well use of our opportunities by knowing our capabilities our disability shortcuts never give the best result for example when life gives lemon we make the same common lemonade out of it without thinking that wat if i would have made something different and later on we curse ourself for it ..we might not see how many times the best opportunities come to us but when we miss it and see others achieving it we surely regret for missing it..so wen one door closes several doors open but all depends on us on which door we would choose to achieve the best
hope it helps u dear : ) : )...

Back again with an amazing question!!
Hope I'll answer upto the mark...
So, according to your question, there are two sentences. I would like to go with the second one.
Yes, it's true that in life, we have many opportunities, but it depends on us to take advantage from them.
Another thing is that it may happen that we are not able to take advantage of an opportunity but that loss makes us aware that there are many other opportunities waiting for us ahead.
One situation is that we get an opportunity, but we make many mistakes there. God gives us another chance to rectify our committed mistakes.
We can take a common example of students.
Suppose there's a child who has prepared well for exams but somehow he/she doesn't manage to get the desired result. This incident gives him/ her courage to face the next exams that is the next opportunity. So the child looks back at his past and tries to overcome his mistakes.
This means that the child is determined to face and succeed in the next opportunity.
There are many reasons for us to not take the best advantage of opportunities.
But we should try our best to take the best advantage of it, because time is very precious and so are opportunities. If we lose in our current opportunity, we do get another opportunity but if we are determined to take advantage of all the opportunities given to us, that's much better.
There are many such incidents in our day-to-day life.
Our willingness lets life give us a second chance. If we are not interested in taking opportunities, we will feel that we don't get any opportunities in life.
There's a saying:
"Man cannot remake himself without suffering for he is both, the marble and the sculptor."
This means that almost every one of us lose opportunities but if we do not lose any opportunity, we will not have any value for it. We need to suffer something to make ourselves better.
Here's a short story of a man who loses his opportunities.
A very religious man was once caught in rising floodwaters. He climbed onto the roof of his house and trusted God to rescue him. A neighbour came by in a canoe and said, “The waters will soon be above your house. Hop in and we’ll paddle to safety.”
“No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me”
A short time later the police came by in a boat. “The waters will soon be above your house. Hop in and we’ll take you to safety.”
“No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me”
A little time later a rescue services helicopter hovered overhead, let down a rope ladder and said. “The waters will soon be above your house. Climb the ladder and we’ll fly you to safety.”
“No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me”
All this time the floodwaters continued to rise, until soon they reached above the roof and the religious man drowned. When he arrived at heaven he demanded an audience with God. Ushered into God’s throne room he said, “Lord, why am I here in heaven? I prayed for you to save me, I trusted you to save me from that flood.”
“Yes you did my child” replied the Lord. “And I sent you a canoe, a boat and a helicopter. I gave you many opportunities. But you never got in.”
This story shows us that there are many people who just waste their opportunities for vague reasons. But we should not forget that there are many people who lost their opportunities in first attempt, but they took lesson from such incidents and succeeded in life.
