Answer:

Derive formula of force from Newton's 2nd law of Motion:states that the rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the force, therefore

Momentum =mv

Let initial velocity be u and final velocity v.

Rate of change of momentum=force =m(v-u) /t

As acceleration =v-u/t... Putting this value in the above equation, we get

Force =ma

Hence proved.

Hi !

Answer:

Second law of motion states that the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the force applied i.e f=ma

Derivation-of f=ma

so,

Consider a body of mass ‘m’ moving with velocity v.

The linear momentum of a body is given by m

so,The change in momentum ∝ p2 – p1

The change in momentum∝ mv – mu

The change in momentum∝ m × (v – u).

The rate of change of momentum ∝ m × (v −u)/t

Or, the applied force,

F ∝m × (v −u)/t

F  = km (v -  u)/t

F = kma

Here a [a = (v – u)/t ] is the acceleration, which is the rate of change of velocity. The quantity, k is a constant of proportionality.

The SI units of mass and acceleration are kg and m s-2 respectively

so  the unit of force is newton

ALL THE BEST
