The main condition of turning into a black hole
is that it should reach its highest limit of entropy, If you are able to squeeze the entire earth in the size of a football, the earth will collapse in its own gravity and thus creating a black hole.
Its not clear that the black holes exist, we haven't detected it. But, we are going as the theory of relativity states
Hope it Helps
Thanks
