Why was the tension between the Dutch speaking and the French speaking people in the Brussels acute ??

So, here's ur answer..
There was tension because in Belgium, Dutch speaking people were in majority and French were in minority while it was vice-versa with Brussels (Belgium's capital).
So, Dutch thought that French would form a majoritarianism in Brussels and they would be denied equal rights.
Same was thought by French for Belgium.
So, due to these complications, there was a fear of disintegration of the country but the leaders were successful to accommodate this.
