The heartbeat is caused by the heart muscles relaxing and contracting. During this cycle, the period of relaxation is called diastole and the period of contraction is called systole.This causes the sound.

hii shruti here is the answer to your question-
'Lub' is the first heart sound which is also known as S1 (sound 1) which is caused by the turbulence when th mitral and triscupid valves contract and 'Dub' is the second heart sound which is aso known as S2 (sound 2) which is cauesd by the closing of aortic and pulmonic valves marking the end of systole.
